LISD Athletes Medal at 2024 State Track & Field Meet

Two Leander ISD student-athletes raced their way to the podium at the 2024 UIL Track and Field 5A and 6A state meets! At Friday’s 5A meet, Cedar Park High School Senior Isabel Conde De Frankenberg took first place in the girls 800m race and picked up a silver medal later in the day in the girls 1600m race. On Saturday, Vista Ridge High School Junior Emma Wade raced her way to a silver medal, finishing second in the 6A girls 1600m race.

Congratulations to Vandegrift High School’s girls golf team – Swetha Sathish, Sydney Givens, Danica Lundgren, Addison Bandelier and Eden McSpadden –  who will have the opportunity to defend their state title from a year ago when they compete in the UIL State Golf Tournament May 6–7 at the White Wing Golf Club in Georgetown.
