When Anna Smith first started attending Leander ISD School Board meetings, she would sign up for citizen comments and speak directly to the Board about her concerns. Now, she sits on the Board she would frequently petition.
Anna has just wrapped up her first full year of service as a trustee. During an exhaustive and draining 2021, Anna relentlessly represented the best interests for LISD. Eager to connect and cultivate, she would meet students and struggles eye-to-eye during her visits to campuses. Anna champions special programs and the need to build an inclusive community that benefits all students.
