Vandegrift Wins Second Consecutive State Marching Band Championship
The Vandegrift High School Marching Band wowed the crowd and the UIL judges at the 2023 UIL 6A State Marching Band Contest, earning the “Spotlight” as they were named 6A State Marching Band Champion for the second year in a row. The Vista Ridge High School Marching Band marked themselves as “Iconic” with an incredible 5th place finish in finals.

Vandegrift Band Wins 2022 UIL State Marching Band Contest; Vista Ridge Places 5th
The Vandegrift High School Marching Band took first place in the 2022 UIL State Marching Band Contest held Nov. 7 and 8 at the Alamodome in San Antonio. The Vista Ridge High School Marching Band also advanced to the finals, placing fifth among the 42 6A bands in the contest.
