The Vandegrift High School Marching Band wowed the crowd and the UIL judges at the 2023 University Interscholastic League 6A State Marching Band Contest, earning the “Spotlight” as they were named 6A State Marching Band Champion for the second year in a row. The Vista Ridge High School Marching Band marked themselves as “Iconic” with an incredible 5th place finish in finals.
We could not be more proud of the tremendous amount of work, energy, effort and enthusiasm that these bands have put in throughout the year!
The Cedar Park High School, Leander High School and Rouse High School Marching Bands will compete at the UIL 5A State Marching Band Prelims at the Alamodome Monday, Oct. 6.
