Sophomore Emma Belliveau from Glenn High School is the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Emma is a member of the varsity Grizzly cross country, track and soccer teams. According to her coaches, she excels in all three of these sports.
“Emma is the kind of athlete every coach dreams about coaching,” Head Cross Country Coach Taylor Logsdon said. “She competes at a high level, makes outstanding grades and is a great teammate who makes those around her better.”
As a freshman, Emma was a regional qualifier in cross country, area qualifier in the 1600m and 800m runs in track and also holds the school records in the 5K, 1600m and 800m. To add to that list of accomplishments, Emma has also made the All A Honor Roll her entire high school career.
“Emma is an athlete that everyone is lucky to have as a part of their team. Her self discipline and work ethic is hard to find and it shows through all that she does,” Head Girls Soccer Coach Amanda Gutman said. “Not only is Emma one of the most coachable athletes I’ve ever coached but she also pushes herself to reach her own goals that she sets for herself. I can’t wait to see what Emma continues to accomplish!”
