Leander ISD is pleased to welcome Terri Osborne, Ed.D., as an area superintendent, providing guidance, support and coaching to campus principals. The Board of Trustees approved her hiring at Thursday’s meeting.

“Terri brings a strong focus on people, performance, and presence, along with a thoughtful approach to leading through complexity, while maintaining a focus on student needs,” said Leander ISD Superintendent Chris Clark, Ed.D. “Her ability to navigate complex systems with clarity, accountability, and strong judgment will be a valuable asset to our leadership team.”

Osborne joins Leander ISD from Killeen ISD, where she has served as a deputy superintendent since 2024. In this position, she served as a supervisor to principals and oversaw the district’s academic programs, student support services and achievement outcomes for over 50 campuses. Her proven track record in advancing complex initiatives strengthened leadership capacity, academic performance and the overall student experience.

Before entering Killeen ISD, Osborne gained extensive educational leadership by serving students, staff and families in roles such as assistant superintendent, principal, assistant principal and dean of students in several Texas school districts. She began her career as a secondary math teacher at Mesquite ISD in 2008.

“I am excited about the opportunity to join Leander ISD and become part of a district known for its strong tradition of excellence, innovation, and community support,” Osborne said. “I look forward to building meaningful relationships with campus leaders, staff, students, and families as we work together to strengthen student outcomes, create exceptional learning experiences, and advance the district’s vision for the future.”

A graduate of Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Osborne also earned her master’s degree in Higher Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce. She went on to receive her doctor of education degree in Educational Administration from the same institution in 2021.
