Canyon Ridge Middle School Principal Wendy Sturdevant is the Leander ISD Staff Spotlight of the Week.
According to CRMS parents, Wendy is a gem in the community and leads her campus with compassion and fairness. She knows all of the students on her campus, as well as their families.
CRMS Parent Clare Lee said that Wendy’s presence, constant and welcoming smile, and dedication to the success of the campus make her stand out.
“Wendy is at the PTA meetings and coffee talks taking in our concerns and responding with viable solutions,” Lee said. “She listens. She cares. She’s in a very difficult role and I think she handles everything with diplomacy and respect for everyone. I am grateful she was selected for this role – her dedication to student, campus and community success is highly visible.”
Rachel McGilvray, another CRMS parent, agrees that Wendy sets a great example for students in the community and makes parents feel heard and informed.
“I am so impressed with Wendy’s thoughtfulness and eloquence,” McGilvray said. “She is brilliant, well-spoken and highly prepared for all interactions with parents and students. I am very impressed by her, and am so happy that she is the principal at my son’s school.”
