As we head into the final stretch of the school year, Leander ISD is launching a districtwide Spring Attendance Challenge beginning Monday, April 20.

The five-week challenge will bring a little friendly competition to something that matters every single day: showing up.

Schools across the district will compete in small groups with others in a similar attendance range. During the first three weeks, campuses will earn points based on weekly attendance standings, with top schools advancing to a final four and championship round.

But the bigger focus is what attendance makes possible.

Strong attendance helps students:

  • build routines and confidence
  • stay connected to teachers and classmates
  • strengthen academic progress
  • stay on track for future success

From the first day of school to graduation, every day builds on the last.

Families can help by:

  • maintaining consistent routines
  • scheduling appointments outside the school day when possible
  • encouraging students to finish the year strong

Let’s work together to help every student attend today and achieve tomorrow.
