Leander ISD Superintendent Dan Troxell, Ph.D., announced Donna LeJeune as the principal of Faubion Elementary School on Thursday, June 20.
“Please join me in welcoming Donna LeJeune as the new principal for Faubion Elementary,” Troxell said. “Donna is a strong instructional leader who designs systems that support and enrich learning opportunities for all students. Her collaborative leadership style will strengthen partnerships with teachers, parents, and community members while honoring the rich culture and traditions of Faubion Elementary.”
LeJeune comes to LISD from Pflugerville ISD, where she has served as assistant principal at Cele Middle School since 2016. She began her career in 2002 as an elementary teacher in Luling ISD, teaching in various capacities there, as well as Judson ISD and Little Cypress-Mauriceville ISD. LeJeune was an elementary assistant principal in 2008 in Nederland ISD before joining Pflugerville ISD as a seventh-grade English/Language Arts teacher in 2009. Since 2010, she has served as an assistant principal at multiple campuses in PISD, including Pflugerville Middle School, Hendrickson High School, and Highland Park and Dearing elementary schools.
“I am incredibly honored and immensely excited to be given the opportunity to join Leander ISD and serve the dedicated staff, students, and community of Faubion Elementary,” LeJeune said. “I look forward to establishing strong partnerships with all of my stakeholders. Together, we will build upon the great things that are happening on our campus. As a Panther family, we will keep student success as our central focus and continue to provide an exceptional academic experience to everyone we serve.”
LeJeune earned a bachelor’s degree in education at Sam Houston State University and a master’s degree in educational administration from Wayland Baptist University.
