The Leander ISD Board of Trustees approved Kimberly Waltmon, Ed.D., as Deputy Superintendent of Administrative Services during its regular meeting Thursday, June 4.
“Over the years, Kimberly has earned the trust and respect of colleagues across our district through her leadership, expertise and commitment to doing what’s best for students,” Superintendent Chris Clark, Ed.D., said. “She has a unique ability to navigate complex work, bring people together around solutions, and ensure our systems support the success of every student and staff member. I’m excited to see the positive impact she’ll have in this role.”
With nearly 20 years of service in Leander ISD, Waltmon has built a distinguished career dedicated to supporting students, schools and families. Her leadership experience spans every level of the organization, providing her with a unique understanding of the district’s opportunities and challenges, as well as its commitment to educational excellence.
Prior to serving as area superintendent, Waltmon was assistant superintendent of Special Programs and State & Federal Services. She also served as principal of Canyon Ridge Middle School and Parkside Elementary School, where she led strong school communities focused on student achievement and growth. From the classroom to campus leadership to executive administration, Waltmon has consistently championed the success of every student while supporting the educators and staff who make that success possible.
As Deputy Superintendent of Administrative Services, Waltmon will provide executive leadership and strategic oversight for key operational areas, ensuring district systems, resources and services remain aligned to support student success and organizational excellence.

Waltmon holds a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Texas State University. Last year, she earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy through The University of Texas at Austin’s Cooperative Superintendency Program.
