Fourth grader Valentina Stein at Block House Creek Elementary is the Leander ISD Fine Arts Student of the Week.
Valentina works hard to maintain good grades and is part of BHC Elementary’s QUEST program. When she isn’t working hard on her academics, she is honing her acting skills in her performing arts classroom. She recently played the role of Junie B. Jones, a demanding part that required her to memorize lots of lines and perform several solos.
“Valentina is an amazing student who took the part of Junie B. and made it her own. She came to her second rehearsal with all lines memorized and was fearless in singing in front of the choir,” Performing Arts Teacher Mary Ann Loesch said. “Most fourth grade students don’t demonstrate the work ethic and talent that Valentina does! We are proud to have her as a BHC Bear.”
