The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) selects 500 students across the nation to receive the Outstanding Achievement Award. This year, 80 of those students were in Texas and four were from right here in Leander ISD.
These four students โ Marin Harris from Canyon Ridge MS; Laney Suman from Stiles MS; and Kathleen Pham and Reese Roaquin from Wiley MS โ went through an extensive application process, requiring multiple recommendations from educators and advisers. Ultimately, they were recognized for their commitment to the five pillars of NJHS: scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.
On behalf of NJHS, they will receive a $500 college savings plan to support their educational aspirations.
Congratulations to these students!
