Students from the Cedar Park HS chapter of Rho Kappa, a social studies honor society, hosted a voter registration drive during their school’s Den period last week to celebrate Sept. 17 as National Voter Registration Day.
The organization’s president, Isabella Oduori, said it’s important to encourage civic engagement for younger adults, especially students.
“Voting is so important,” she said, “and it allows for your voice to be heard.”
Don’t forget that your vote matters. So whether you’re a student, staff or community member, take a moment to register to vote or check your voter registration as together we embrace a culture of voting in #1LISD.
The deadline to register to vote in the Fall 2024 elections is Monday, Oct. 7.
