Sophomore Sadie Guzman from Leander High School is the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Sadie is an athlete on the varsity Lady Lion cross country, track and soccer teams, as well as an AVID member.
LHS Head Girls Soccer Coach Alexia Dyar said that Sadie is a humble and tenacious competitor who will push through whatever she has to in order to carry her team on her back.
“Sadie is never loud or boastful about her talents, she just shows up to work and play the sport she loves,” Dyar said. “She glides across the field with ease.”
LHS Head Cross Country Coach Aubrey Lindberg said that Sadie races fearlessly on the cross country course and the track.
“Sadie will chase anyone and everyone down and is always ready to take on a challenge,” Lindberg said. “She is humble in her success and brings her very best to every practice and competition.”
