Special Education and Individual Community Academic Program (ICAP) Teacher Aaron Baumann at Running Brushy Middle School is the Leander ISD Staff Spotlight of the Week.

Baumann’s focus on showcasing student progress through data collection, alongside his specific set of skills as a teacher, are an asset to Running Brushy and the district as a whole.

According to his colleagues, Aaron is dedicated to his students’ success and progress. He uses his professional skills to build on students’ strengths and always comments on the positive things he sees.

“Being in a self-contained class, Aaron sometimes has to work by himself or with rotating IA’s and he does it without complaining and is present for his students,” Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) Cindy Adame-Hernandez said. “RBMS SPED staff make sure to check in on him and give him breaks, but he always makes sure his students are in a good place before he accepts help.
