Our LISD Super Kid Colton Alderman’s love of learning has launched this Westside Rocket into a new realm of imagination and exploration!
Colton, fourth grade, takes his pursuit of excellence and colors it with creativity. With a desire to turn concepts into products, he builds amazingly creative projects. Among them include puppets, animation, and complete Lego worlds! These activities require a persistence and commitment unique to Colton.
“Once he sets a goal, he puts action steps in place to meet his goal,” Westside Elementary fourth grade teacher Laura Heine said. “He is an excellent example of pursuing your dreams and fulfilling your potential to the fullest.”
His transition to remote learning made easy; Colton allows his hard-work ethic in school to spill into home. As a self-led learner, he asks questions and creatively approaches topics of discussion.
“He relates his current learning to relevant aspects of the different ways that we are living life, including creating videos about how we can all contribute to making the world a healthier place for all of us.”
