Students in four LISD Drum Lines earned kudos for their performances in the Thunder in the Hills Drum Line Competition in Dripping Springs on Sept. 15.
- Rouse High School, directed by Drew Saenz, received caption awards for Best Front Ensemble and Best Tenor Line and won First Place in the Advanced Small Division.
- Cedar Park High School, directed by Roland Chavez, received a caption Award for Best Front Ensemble and won First Place in the Advanced Large Division.
- Vandegrift High School, directed by Joe Hobbs, received a caption Award for Best Tenor Line and won Second Place in the Advanced Large Division.
- Vista Ridge High School, directed by Hector Gil, received a caption Award for Best Cymbal Line and won Third Place in the Advanced Large Division.
