May 19-23 marks Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) Appreciation Week in Leander ISD, a special time to to recognize the outstanding contributions of our dedicated team of SLPs.
These professionals play a vital role in supporting our students’ growth. Their commitment to helping students find their voices—both literally and figuratively—has a profound impact on our schools and communities.
Speech and language pathologists in Leander ISD work with students across all grade levels, evaluating and supporting those with communication challenges. Whether helping a child articulate words more clearly, understand language better, or use augmentative and alternative communication, our SLPs empower students to connect with others and thrive.
Their work not only supports academic success but also fosters meaningful social interactions, contributing to a well-rounded educational experience.
“Our district is fortunate to have a team of 51 talented SLPs who consistently go above and beyond in service of our students,” said Paige Collier, assistant superintendent of special programs and services. “We are truly grateful for the compassion, expertise, and dedication they bring to their work each day. Their impact is felt in every classroom, hallway, and conversation—and their work truly matters.”
During this special week, we celebrate our speech and language pathologists wholeheartedly and thank them for being an essential part of the Leander ISD family.
