Leander ISD would like to congratulate Glenn High School’s Jaden Gutierrez for being named the LISD Career and Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Week.
Jaden is in the criminal justice program at Glenn and ultimately wants to be a Fire Marshall. He travelled to West Virginia for firefighting camp over the summer and hopes to compete for Glenn in the firefighting competition through SkillsUSA. Glenn’s criminal justice curriculum includes robust instruction about the role of first responders, peaking Jaden’s interest in search and rescue.
“Jaden has quickly become a leader in our program and shows great initiative in learning about being a first responder,” Criminal Justice teacher Bernie Acosta said. “His drive to excel, both in the classroom, and in firefighting techniques is a tribute to his work ethic and his willingness to serve others. As an educator, nothing brings me more joy and satisfaction than a student finding a passion for what may become their life’s work. I have no doubt that Jaden’s selflessness and perseverance will be a credit to him and his community as he continues to learn and grow towards that calling.”
Congratulations to Jaden Gutierrez of Glenn High School, the Leander ISD CTE Student of the Week!
