Paige Hert at Cedar Park High School is the Leander ISD Career and Technical Education Teacher Spotlight of the Month.
As part of the school’s journalism program, Hert serves as both the Tracks Yearbook and Wolfpack Newspaper adviser. She also teaches journalism and graphic design classes. Since coming to CPHS in 2012, the student publications Hert oversees have consistently ranked among the best in the state and nation.
“Paige is dedicated to helping students develop as journalists and young adults,” CPHS principal John Sloan said. “Her program is enormously successful, though she never looks for the spotlight or recognition. Paige enjoys seeing her students thrive. She is an amazing mentor and teacher for our students.”
Nearly every year since she has been adviser, the Wolfpack Newspaper has earned the School Newspapers Online Distinguished Site status. In 2022 she also helped lead students competing in UIL Journalism to become 5A State Champions.
