Teacher Charity Reinert at North Elementary School is the Leander ISD Staff Spotlight of the Week.
According to the parent of one of Reinert’s kindergarten students, Reinert has gone above and beyond to create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment for all students. One of the things that sets her apart is her ability to effectively differentiate instruction to meet every child’s unique learning style. She takes time to get to know each of her students individually and tailor her teaching methodology to ensure that every child in her class is able to succeed.
Whether it’s through small group activities, hands-on learning experiences or the implementation of visual aids, Ms. Reinert always finds creative ways to engage her students and help them reach their full potential.
“Every single day when my child gets off the school bus, she has something exciting to share from her day in Ms. Reinert’s class,” the parent shared.
In addition to her strong commitment to differentiated instruction, Reinert works to promote inclusion in the classroom. She fosters a sense of community among her students and encourages them to support and celebrate one another’s differences. She has a special talent of helping all her students feel valued and respected.
“Ms. Reinert is also a strong collaborator, making sure that communication with special education specialists are received and strategies implemented in a timely manner,” the parent continued. “This include the integration of a ‘sensory diet’ to address my own child’s neurodivergent needs. Thanks to Ms. Reinert’s dedication and expertise, my daughter is thriving in her Kindergarten class. She looks forward to going to school every day and comes home full of excitement about everything she is learning.”
The parent said that she is so grateful for Reinert’s positive impact on her daughter’s education and her overall well-being.
“I believe that Ms. Reinert authentically embodies the qualities of an exceptional educator. Her commitment to differentiated instruction, inclusion, and student success make her a valuable asset to the North Elementary community.”
