Leander ISD is well represented in this year’s Austin Regional Spelling Bee and has the highest number of participants among the area’s school districts.
A dozen of the 47 students that will compete Sunday in the bee hail from LISD schools:

The Austin Regional Spelling Bee is open to the public.
The Austin Regional Spelling Bee will crown one winner who will be receive an expense paid trip to the 2018 Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington DC. Austin residents and families will be able to watch this winner live on the ESPN event broadcast in May.
