‘Tis the season for giving: giving presents to friends and family, giving your time and giving back to the community. For Glenn High School junior Liberty Jowers, giving back is personal.
Jowers’s father was a Marine sergeant, who served his country for 13 years. To aid the men and women in Afghanistan, Jowers and her younger siblings helped pack and organize address boxes.
“I realized I could give back to the members,” Jowers said. “But, I mostly love to sit and talk to the older ones while they watch the football game on T.V.”
