‘Tis the season for giving: giving presents to friends and family, giving your time and giving back to the community. For Racquel Hopkins, giving back allows her to serve her community.
Hopkins is the Co-Vice President of the international volunteer organization Key Club at Glenn High School. Through Key Club, Hopkins recently had and blanket/jacket drive and a toy drive for Angel Tree.
Angel Tree is a toy drive to help children in need. Students at GHS were able to pick a child with their wants on a name tag, then deliver the gift to Key Club. Students were able to donate blackest and jackets in the various boxes around campus.
“Our club thought it would be a wonderful idea for GHS to participate,” Hopkins said. “It was a success! These experiences have been great and inspire the students at GHS to serve and give to others.”
