Leander ISD is pleased to welcome Dionne Dansby-Clark, Ed.D., as the new principal of Running Brushy Middle School. The Board of Trustees approved her hiring at Thursday’s meeting.

“With 23 years in education, Dr. Dansby-Clark brings deep middle school experience and a student-centered, relationship-driven leadership style that aligns seamlessly with the values of the RBMS community,” said Leander ISD Superintendent Chris Clark, Ed.D. “Her commitment to listening, learning and building strong connections will honor the campus’s foundation and ensure every student grows, excels and leads with purpose.”

Dansby-Clark currently serves as an assistant principal at Ramstein Middle School in Germany with the Department of Defense Education.

Before moving into campus leadership, Dansby-Clark taught middle school math and science in Fort Worth and McKinney ISDs. She eventually transitioned into school counseling before moving into school leadership, continuing to serve students and educators at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.

“My family and I are excited to become part of the Running Brushy Middle School community,” Dansby-Clark said. “I look forward to partnering with students, staff and families to build on the strong foundation already in place at RBMS and to continue creating meaningful learning experiences that support every student’s growth and success. I am honored to join the tradition and spirit of the Cougars and to be part of what makes Running Brushy such a special place.”

Dansby-Clark earned her Bachelor of Science from Abilene Christian University and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University. She completed her principal certification at Lamar University in 2014 and, in 2024, earned her Doctor of Education in Educational Administration degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
