Leander ISD is proud to announce Running Brushy Middle School’s Selah Sparks as the LISD Fine Arts Student of the Week.
Selah, or “Sparky” as she’s known, is an 8th-grade Alto in the RBMS Varsity Treble Choir. She is a section leader and a three-year choir member. Sparky was a member of the TMEA Region Choir in 2017 and 2018.
“Sparky takes her role as a section ‘mother’ seriously,” RBMS Choir Director Alicia Villarreal. “Her high level of musicianship and experience has never been an excuse to treat other students as ‘less than’, rather she seeks to mentor newer and younger singers in a way that immediately makes them feel valuable and welcome in our choir. The joy she finds in singing and her pride in being an alto is infectious. She will be a blessing to any choir she chooses to sing in.”
Congratulations to Running Brushy Middle School standout Selah Sparks, the LISD Fine Arts Student of the Week.
