Excellent in many endeavors, Leander ISD Fine Arts Student of the Week Rafah Shaik has distinguished herself as a brilliant artist!
A high achiever, the Rouse High School senior has made her mark in many areas of high school life. Currently involved in art club and National Art Honor Society, she serves as secretary and NAHS ambassador. Rafah is also taking AP 2D art, Robotics, Debate Club, National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society and UNICEF. Moreover, she also attends Vista Ridge High School as a dual campus-enrolled student, involved in NJROTC.
Recently, Rafah received an Award of Merit for her photography in the district Reflections contest. The Leander ISD Council of PTAs hosts the competition every year.
“I nominated Rafah because I see her as highly driven academically and highly motivated creatively,” Vista Ridge HS Visual Arts Teacher and NAHS sponsor Cynthia Acevedo said. “She has an intriguing connection with her photography and art explorations. Currently, Rafah is working on an AP 2D portfolio investigating parallelism and juxtapositions between Grimm fairy tales and real-world issues.”
Raise a brush for Rafah Shaik–#1LISD Fine Arts Student of the Week! Congratulations!
