Serving in Place 4 as a mom of four and a fourth-generation Mexican American, Trustee Anna Smith proved herself to be for Leander ISD schools. The Leander ISD Council of PTAs President and district champion for special education moved to the district in 2015 for our fantastic public schools.
Every student deserves to be included and parents need strong partnerships with their schools. Before she won her election in November 2020, Anna was a regular at Board of Trustee meetings and across social media groups advocating for more resources to the district’s special education classrooms and families.
