“Destination… Life” Transition Fair

Past and present Leander ISD students came together with community members on March 3, 2023 at McNeil High School to attend this years “Destination… Life” Transition Fair and Conference. Present were multiple vendors, state and local agencies, and programs that assist students with disabilities and their families.

Destination … Life Transition Fair to be Held March 4

The upcoming Destination…Life Regional Transition Fair and Conference event is designed to highlight the supports and resources that are available to individuals with disabilities as they transition from high school into adulthood. It is made possible by special educators from Leander ISD and surrounding school districts.

Leander Lazers Showcase Basketball Skills

The Leander Lazers athletes put their skills on full display during the annual Basketball Showcase Wednesday, Feb. 15, at Cedar Park Middle School. During the showcase, athletes competed in individual skills, team skills, 3-on-3 half-court play, and full-court traditional basketball with Special Olympic athletes taking on a team of high school players from around the district. The clinic also allowed coaches the opportunity to assess the skill levels of the athletes. In addition, this clinic provided students in the district the chance to serve their community and learn leadership skills.
