Eighth grader Stella Marek from Canyon Ridge Middle School is the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Stella participates in cross country, volleyball, basketball, track and soccer. Stella is also a member of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).
Canyon Ridge Girls Athletic Coordinator Brenda Edwards said that Stella excels in all areas of her life – athletics, academics, family and friends.
“Stella works hard in every practice and every competition she is a part of. She is a leader both in the gym and in the classroom,” Edwards said. “Stella is a true joy to be around and I have enjoyed having her in our program for these last three years.”
