Leander Middle School’s eighth-grade QUEST students recently put on a World In Conflict Museum, intertwining historical research and various writing styles to showcase real-world learning, writing and empathy.
Students worked in teams to sort through all of the details of this complex unit of study. They made real-world and personal connections through their research and their writing.
This was the culmination of a QUEST-G/T study of World in Conflict, seeing how individual and group choices can make a difference. Students displayed a depth of knowledge, creative thinking and collaboration with engaging presentations. They also spent time learning how to best create and guide their visitors — adults and fellow students — through this learning experience.
