From Oct. 16-20, Leander ISD is celebrating Transportation Appreciation Week! This week is an opportunity to give some extra thanks to our district drivers, monitors, mechanics, crossing guards and other dedicated staff who make up our transportation department.
Transportation Director Tracie Franco said that LISD’s transportation department is made up of individuals who are hardworking, intelligent, fun and most of all, people who care for the students in the district
“To the employees of Leander ISD Transportation, I cannot put into words how proud I am to work with you. You are here early and leave late. You take extra care to transport, support and inspire tomorrow’s leaders. You are that smile for a student who needs a kind face and a ‘Good morning, have a great day,’ to a child who may need to hear it,” Franco said. “I sincerely thank you all for the work you do every day. It is my honor to work with and serve you all.”
