October 20-24 is Transportation Staff Appreciation Week in Leander ISD! #1LISD expresses thanks to our district drivers, monitors, mechanics, crossing guards and other dedicated staff who make up our transportation department.
Transportation Director Tracie Franco said that LISD’s transportation department strives to make the bus riding experience great for each and every student. “In transportation we are able to connect with students in different ways than at the campus level,” Franco said. “We have about 20 to 30 minutes to make the start to their day really great and we are also privileged to be the last kind face they see at the end of the day. Our team really takes ownership of this because they truly care about each rider.”
