During January, Leander ISD is proud to honor School Board Recognition Month. The 2026 theme, Our Future is Public, emphasizes the critical role that school board members play in shaping the future of Texas.
Year after year, the Leander ISD Board of Trustees work tirelessly to support our #1LISD school communities. Their leadership and governance are essential to advancing student outcomes in Leander ISD and also serve as a bridge to keep families and community members connected to their schools.
“As we recognize School Board Appreciation Month 2026, we want to thank the Leander ISD Board of Trustees for their leadership, service and unwavering commitment to our students and community,” said LISD Acting Superintendent Chris Clark, Ed.D. “Their partnership reflects the belief that public education is crucial to the future of the state and country. We are very lucky in Leander ISD to have a board that is devoted to strengthening public education and creating meaningful opportunities for every student.”
The LISD Board of Trustees has championed individual student pathways while advancing a shared purpose for the entire community by supporting diverse learning pathways, ensuring access to programs and services so all students can pursue their goals and setting a clear vision and long-term goals aligned with student outcomes.
