During Tuesday night’s Leander High School Band performance at the Don Tew PAC, the fire alarm was pulled due to smoke in the auditorium. The smoke was due to a stage light that was errantly left on the catwalk, facedown, which caused a piece of wood to smolder. Parents, staff and students exited the auditorium in a very orderly and calm fashion.
The damage to the facility was very minimal and our upcoming PAC activities will not be impacted.
