Leander ISD is proud to announce Cedar Park Middle School’s Charlotte Newman as the LISD Fine Arts Student of the Week.
Charlotte is an eighth-grade standout at CPMS and an active member of the Crimson Cadets Dance Team, CPMS Varsity Choir, All-Region Choir, and the CPMS Musical. Charlotte consistently comes to rehearsals prepared, helps her directors on a daily basis, and is always willing to lend a helping hand.
Charlotte truly goes above and beyond to act with integrity and kindness and is someone her fellow peers can look to for guidance. This year, Charlotte is serving as the choir secretary and dance captain for the CPMS Musical. Charlotte excels in the classroom as well, and is a shining example of someone who represents her school and community in a positive light.
“Charlotte is a student that we can always count on to get the job done” CMPS dance teacher Kayln Vaughn said. “She is a mature and responsible young woman who other students strive to model themselves after. She is an extremely talented musician and dancer, and I have been so fortunate to have had her as a student the past three years.”
