Leander ISD is proud to announce Cedar Park Middle School’s Ben McDanald as the LISD Fine Arts Student of the Week.
Ben has participated in CPMS theatre all three years of middle school. He received awards for every One Act Play production he has been in, including Best Actor twice for his performances in Gathering Blue and The Yellow Boat.
While being a leader in the theatre department, McDanald is also involved in choir, National Junior Honor Society, and is a straight-A student.
“Ben sets an example for all other students he comes in contact with, constantly encouraging them be the best they can be,” CPMS Theatre Director Briana Bower said. “He has continued to hone his skill as a performer and lead the department with his kindness, compassion and dedication to all aspects of theatre.”
