Junior Gabriela Duran Diaz from Vandegrift High School is the Leander ISD Career and Technical Education Student of the Week.
Gabriela is a student in the Design and Multimedia Arts: Animation program at Vandegrift, and is currently taking Animation II. Her teacher, Jeffrey Bent, said that Gabriela finished in the top of her class in Animation I last year and has continued to produce great work so far this school year.
“Gabriela is a hard worker and does a lot of experimenting with style and color,” Bent said. “She’s created a very appealing visual style and knows how to take her sketches and bring life to them through animation.”
