From the American Institute of Architecture (AIA), to Kipp Flores Architects to Faubion Elementary School, this year marks the first graduating class of fifth-graders to complete the Panther’s innovative architecture program. Students who previously had not ventured outside Leander ISD’s borders are now collaborating with some of the most accomplished architects in our area, state and country.

In the fall of 1976, Leander ISD opened its second elementary school and named it after a long-time teacher and supporter of the district – Ada Mae Faubion. Forty years later, Faubion Elementary School kicked off the 2016-17 school year with a special anniversary celebration.

Opened in the fall of 1976, Leander ISD’s second elementary school — Faubion Elementary School — is named after former LISD teacher Ada Mae Faubion, and this year, the school is celebrating it’s 40-year anniversary!
