Leander ISD is proud to announce Vista Ridge High Schoolβs Kaira Tran as the Student-Athlete of the Week. Kaira is senior member of the Vista Ridge Varsity Golf Team. Kaira serves as the team’s co-captain and has lettered all four years.
In addition to participating in golf, Kaira is a member and office holder in a variety of organizations such as The Outdoor Adventure Club, French Honor Society, National Honor Society, DECA, Key Club, Diversity Club, Red Cross Club, and the Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy. The Ranger has been accepted to The University of Texas at Austin and plans to major in Biochemistry.
βI have watched Kaira grow over the last four years, and can say that her presence on the golf team is so valuable,β Vista Ridge Head Golf Coach Timothy Gaestel said. βhe brings people together and helps our younger athletes on the team in every way she can. She is a prime example of an exceptional student-athleteβ.
