Leander ISD is thrilled to announce Paige Collier, an established leader within the district, as the newest Assistant Superintendent of Special Programs and Services, State and Federal Programs.
“It is with great pleasure that I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Paige Collier for being appointed as the Assistant Superintendent for Special Programs and Services. Paige’s dedication to serving the stakeholders of Leander ISD is truly inspiring,” Superintendent Bruce Gearing, Ed.D., said. “Her unwavering commitment to ensuring exceptional learning opportunities for every student, combined with her impressive 15-year tenure as a principal, will undoubtedly strengthen the Special Programs team.”
Collier has served as principal of Reed Elementary School since 2017. Reed Elementary earned its Lighthouse certification in 2020, and was recently recertified as a Leader in Me Lighthouse School as a result of the school’s continued growth and innovation under Collier’s leadership. Before coming to LISD, Collier served in Hays CISD, gaining experience as a teacher, instructional strategist and assistant principal before becoming a principal in 2009, first serving at Hemphill Elementary School and then at Tobias Elementary School.
“Paige’s exceptional leadership and experience will prove invaluable not only to the department she will serve but to the entire district,” Gearing said. “We are fortunate to have her join the Special Programs and Services team and look forward to the positive impact she will continue to make on Leander ISD.”
Collier said that she is excited to partner with the LISD’s students, staff and families to support the success of all students.
“I am incredibly honored to lead as Assistant Superintendent for Special Programs and Services in Leander ISD, where our educators support each and every student on their path to a meaningful future by celebrating their strengths, honoring voice and choice, and building independence,” Collier said. “As a leader, I am committed to educational excellence for each and every student in a welcoming, empowering and inclusive learning environment.”
Collier completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Learning at University of Texas at Austin and her Master of Education degree in Educational Administration. In 2016, she attended the Summer Leadership Institute at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is currently working on her doctorate in School Improvement through Texas State University.
Collier will fill the vacancy left by Kimberly Waltmon’s move to be one of the LISD’s area superintendents.
