No polish needed, #1LISD Super Kid Olivia Joya simply shines with her concern for others!
The Plain Elementary fifth-grader consistently is willing to help others. With a kind heart, she leads by example. Olivia’s positive attitude helps her come alongside a student who is struggling. She does not hesitate to ask them how she can help, and then proceeds to do whatever is needed to help that person feel at ease.
“Olivia has a genuine heart for others,” Plain Elementary fifth-grade teacher Mandy Leaming said.
Outside of school, Olivia plays soccer, does jiu-jitsu, and sings with the school’s honor choir. Something unique about her? She likes to pick up after her sister; she even enjoys cleaning the house!
