Leander ISD is excited to share its Community-Based Accountability System (CBAS) report. In its second year, the district is showcasing its commitment to a shared educational vision created by families, staff and students. Rooted in #1LISD’s vision, mission and core beliefs, this comprehensive report features alignment to the district’s Strategic Plan.
“In these pages, you will encounter triumphant milestones, candid reflections, and narratives that illuminate the tapestry of our #1LISD community,” Superintendent Bruce Gearing, Ed.D., said. “After creating a performance benchmark last year, in year two, we have an opportunity to measure growth and regressions, monitor trends and show our long-term commitment to our goals. In other words, the real work begins.”
While the district’s CBAS Report includes student performance data from the 2022-23 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR), the district seeks accountability, not only to state requirements but also to their own #1LISD family. This accountability framework relies on the five focus areas of the district’s Strategic Plan:
- Empowered Student Learning
- Empowered Staff
- Impactful Family Engagement
- Equitable Access
- Safe and Innovative Learning Environment
Leander ISD encourages families and staff to review the report and reflect on how learners are taking ownership of their education as they become the most sought-after creators of our future world.
