Congratulations to the 11 #1LISD wrestlers who withstood daunting brackets and found a way to the podium of the UIL State Wrestling Tournament Feb. 16–17, 2024, at the Berry Center in Cypress. To start, 29 wrestlers – plus alternates – representing all six Leander ISD high schools qualified for the two-day tournament.
Three wrestlers worked their way into the championship bout, with two from Cedar Park HS – Rachel Corley & Nathan Reilly – landing as the tops in Texas in their respective weight class. Another nine wrestlers, with a loss, battled back through the consolation side of the bracket where a finish in the 3rd- to 6th-place range remained possible.
