During the afternoon action at the UIL State Wrestling Tournament, one of #1LISD’s own — Vandegrift HS Coach Paul Muck — was inducted into the Texas Wrestling Hall of Honor.
This well-deserved recognition celebrates Muck’s coaching and leadership over the years:
- 23 years combined of coaching experience, all in Texas
- 7-time regional coach of the year
- State coach of the year in 2021
- Current president of the Texas High School Wrestling Coaches Association
- 12 district championships
- 5 regional championships
- 411 dual victories
- 5 state champions
