Vandegrift, Vista Ridge Bands Qualify for Return Trip to State Competition

All roads lead to state!

With the results out of the 6A marching band area round, Vandegrift and Vista Ridge join #1LISD’s four 5A schools with a ticket to San Antonio. LISD bands took the top two spots of the 6A area round finals with Vandegrift HS in 1st place and Vista Ridge HS in 2nd place.

This marks the first time in the district’s history since adding a sixth high school in 2016 to have all six reach the state marching band contest! Congratulations to all of the students, high school and middle school directors, and the parents for making this outstanding accomplishment possible.
