2024 Bleeding Control Training for Students

When lawmakers pass House Bill 496 in 2019, it mandated every school in LISD will have a bleeding control kit, or trauma kit. The law also says that Texas school districts need to offer bleeding control training to students in grades 7–12. We’re organizing some voluntary training sessions for our students.

UIL Announces Realignment for 2024–25 & 2025–26

The University Interscholastic League (UIL) released the 2024–25 and 2025–26 football, basketball and volleyball district assignments. Realignment affects all UIL sports, but none more so than football, which has the most elaborate playoffs of all the sports with several classifications split into two divisions based on enrollment numbers.

58 LISD Students Named TMEA All-State Musicians

58 Leander ISD Band and Choir students were selected as Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-State Musicians. This is the largest number of LISD students that have been recognized as All-State Musicians, and this accomplishment marks the first time that all six LISD high school bands and choirs will be represented at the TMEA State Convention.
