Leander ISD Athletics is proud to announce Running Brushy Middle School’s Leaya Archie as the LISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Leaya is an 8th-grade standout on the Running Brushy Lady Cougar girls basketball team. A hard worker who gives her all at every game and practice, Leaya is described by her coaches as having a strong work ethic and infectious smile that inspires others around her.
Β Outside of basketball, Leaya works hard in the offseason to build her skills, support her teammates and get stronger. She always enters practice and games with a smile on her face and ready to work. In the classroom, teachers describe Leaya as a model student and a pleasure to have in class. Β
