Eighth grader Willow Mallory at Leander Middle School is the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Willow is a member of the Tiger cross country, girls basketball and track teams.
LMS Girls Athletic Coordinator Amanda Ellerbee said that Willow is the complete student-athlete package.
“Willow represents everything a coach could want. Her personality is bright, funny and uplifting. Her teammates love her and her teachers describe her as ‘phenomenal,’” Ellerbee said. “She is one of our hardest workers on the court, track and in the weight room. Willow truly makes everyone around her better.”
In addition to participating in athletics, Willow participates in choir and AVID, takes four advanced courses and has earned straight A’s this year at LMS.
