Meghana Pulimi from Rouse High School is the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Meghana is a senior member on the Raider girls basketball team. She is a member of Student Council, National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society and is a Rouse Scholar. Meghana has taken 11 Advanced Placement courses, has a GPA of 5.36 and is in the top seven percent of her graduating class.
Rouse’s Head Girls Basketball Coach Lori McDonald said that Meghana embodies the graduate profile for Leander ISD.
“Meghana is skilled in communication and collaboration and is a creative and critical thinker that challenges herself academically. Additionally, she is a compassionate community contributor, helping tutor students in the community and across the globe,” McDonald said. “I both admire and appreciate Meghana’s ‘team first’ mentality, and she has developed strong relationships with her teammates. She is adaptable and reflective both on and off the basketball court. We are lucky to have a student athlete of this caliber in our program.”
In addition to her participation in academics and athletics, Meghana is the Founder and CEO of Texas Hill Country Tree Foundation, a Supervisory Youth Leader of Leon Human Foundation and a US Representative for Green India Trust.
